2014 was a great year for bird photography;
I’ve moved from a workflow that was quite reliant on playback & post process to virtually none.
Its made for slightly less images than previous years but ethically I think it’s something I can stand by.
I have also undertaken two long term projects involving difficult to photograph birds – more on that nearer completion.
It really was a great year for ducks – and not just because of all the rain;
A cool summer & the arrival of successive transient species has made for lots of time spent at lakes with our various waterfowl.
I’ve really enjoyed the ambient time poolside; all the fun minus the planning and guile that bush bird photography requires, slightly more welcoming hours and of course, less threat of flies.
I’ve met some sweet people too along the way;
So for those of you who may find yourselves reading this, here’s wishing you success & happiness in the coming year!
